On my father's side
Buzz Aldrin
Adam Gäfvert and Catharina Ericsdotter had 9 children. Two of them are Sara and Henrik. Sara is fully related to Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. and Henrik is fully related to my grandfather.
Henrik is my great-grandmother's great-great-grandfather (10 generations). Sara is Edwin's great great great great great grandmother (8 generations).
The second man on the moon also married into my family via Erik Atterström. Erik married Maria Aldrin, who is Sara Gäfvert's son's great-granddaughter's great-granddaughter (7 generations). Erik is my great-great-grandmother's uncle (6 generations).
Christer Sjögren
The singer Christer Sjögren is related to the Finnish-Swedish legend Lång-Kristoffer (a nickname he has for his height). Lång-Kristoffer is said to be the ancestor of the population of Värmland. He had a sister, Ingeborg, and she is Christer's great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother (11 generations).
Monica Zetterlund
The actress and singer Monica Zetterlund was also related to Lång-Kristoffer. He was her great-great-great grandfather (8 generations). She played Ulrika in Jan Troell's Utvandrarna (1971) and Nybyggarna (1972), and the film Monica Z from 2013 tells what her life was like.
Björn Skifs
The singer, actor and presenter Björn Skifs is also related to Lång-Kristoffer, on 7 different branches. His great-grandmother's grandfather (Jan) and his sister (Lisa) were both related to Erik Christoffersson Honkainen (Lång-Kristoffer's one son) on 2 different branches. Hold on now!
Erik had children with 2 women, Malin and Kristina, all sons (what I have found). Erik and Malin's one son, Johan's great-grandson, Christoffer, was the father of Jan and Lisa (Johan was their grandmother's father). Erik and Kristina's son, Sigfrid, had 5 daughters (what I have found). One, Annika, was Jan and Lisa's grandfather's mother.
On my mother's side
On my mother's side, there are no celebrities that I can link to the family tree yet. Apart from the fact that my mother and I share the same DNA as the medieval English kings King Richard III and his brother, King Edward IV, there are only general historical moments that happened when the relatives were alive.
Älvsborg on my grandmother's side and Skåne on my grandfather's side, and anyone who has paid attention in school history lessons knows that Denmark was very keen to own Skåne, among other things. These wars, especially the Scanian War, took place when my relatives were living there.
